Workshops

AHM are involved with many workshops supporting our clients. One person we are supporting attended the Arts and Poetry classes at The Carousal, Hockley. He wrote this poem.

 

The summer has passed us by again

autumn leaves have begun to fall

and on the forest recreation ground 

there's an event that's fun for all

with thousand's of colourful flashing lights

the smell of diesel in the air

every first Wednesday in October

it's Nottingham's Goose Fair

hot dogs, candy floss,doughnuts,Mushy Peas,toffee apples, sticks of rock, burgers with melted cheese

courting couples, families, teenagers who love fast rides, sideshows, amusement arcades, hook a duck and coconut stalls

be over very quickly its Sunday night,

all too soon it's time to go

for years all generations have favoured to show

nine o'clock the party's over the young ones shed a tear

but at least their safe in the knowledge, 

they'll be back again next year.
